Pandora’s Ring,

For this entirely hand-forged Talisman, I associated three gems, the prehnite in marquise at the top, a small purple tanzanite at the base and a faceted blue Tourmaline whose transparency makes it possible to guess the name of Elpis inside Pandora's box/jar. Etchings with ancient Greek motifs on the perimeter and the front of the box.

The originality of this ring (inspired by an antique poison ring) is that the cover locks once the ring is worn on the finger.

More details on the video of its design.

Ideal size 57fr, the ring can be adjusted on request to suit a size 58/59 fr.

Its weight is 13.5g.

The box is 15mm high for a diameter of 20mm ( longueur stones included de 35mm)

This creation is accompanied by its case watercolored by me with the effigy of the divinity.

It is a Unique Creation that I will not reproduce.

In theGreek mythology,Elpisis the personification ofhope. She is depicted as a young woman usually wearing flowers or acornucopiain his hands. She would be the daughter ofnyx, goddess of the night and mother ofpheme, goddess of reputation, fame and rumor. Pandora, holding in her hands a large vase, lifted the lid, the terrible evils it contained spread far and wide. Hope alone remained. Stopped on the edges of the vase, it did not fly away, Pandora having replaced the lid. This passage has raised questions since Antiquity: people wondered why hope was considered evil and why it was supposed to stay in the jar, when humans are indeed capable of hoping.. For some, Pandora's jar contains not only evils, but also good ones. Evil spreads on Earth when Pandora lifts the lid, while good reaches heaven. Pandora is sometimes called Anésidora "she who brings out gifts from the depths" - that is to say "the Goddess of the earth who presides over fertility". She is thus “the name of a divinity of the earth and of fertility. Anesidora is represented, in the figurations, emerging from the ground, thematic of a chthonic and agrarian power”.

India also revered this gem. It was used as a tool of information and help to discover what was good and positive and also what was not, in order to be always vigilant. It was also highly valued by alchemists who, perhaps because of its pyroelectric effect, considered it to be related to the philosopher's stone.
